Tractor-type winch truck (tractor truck): lightest of fleet units, consisting of a standard heavy-duty truck outfitted with a winch, which pulls trailers from tandem to multi-wheel configurations. Winches allow for the loading and off-loading of rig loads onto trailers without the use of cranes. Used mostly for hauling loads between locations.
